Meet Dr. Etess

     Dr. Jeffrey Etess, Smithtown Long Island root canal specialist (endodontist), completed his undergraduate studies from State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry.   In 1997, Dr. Etess was awarded his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry(D.M.D.)  from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he ranked among the top 10% of his graduating class.
     In 1998, he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center.  This highly competitive program is a year-long post-doctorate residency providing advanced training in general dentistry, as well as subspecialties which include oral surgery, anesthesia, implantology, prosthodontics, pediatric dental care, dental care for the developmentally disabled, and the management of medically compromised patients. 
      For the next two years, Dr. Etess attended the prestigious New York University School of Dentistry, where he earned his root canal specialist Endodontic Certification in 2000.  Such a complete and extensive education enables Dr. Etess to perform all aspects of root canal therapy, including routine as well as complex procedures, retreatments, and all facets of endodontic surgery. 
     Dr. Etess, Smithtown Long Island endodontist (root canal specialist) is well respected by his colleagues for his high level of skill and technical proficiency.  He utilizes the most state of the art equipment, including surgical microscope and Laser, and cutting edge techniques, allowing him to provide a predictable, comfortable and expedient experience. “Dr. Jeff," as he is affectionately known by his pediatric patients, has a keen ability in treating this often challenging population.   Dr. Etess is compassionate, caring and empathetic to his patients’ concerns and always goes to great lengths to ensure their comfort with whatever treatment may be necessary.  His “chair-side” personality helps to put patients at ease.
